FC Cincinnati 2 announced today that they have acquired forward Nicque Daley on a season-long loan from the Charleston Battery of the USL Championship, pending league and federation approval.
Daley has played for Charleston since 2019, appearing in 64 matches across all competitions for the USL Championship club in three seasons. The 21-year-old Jamaican is coming off his best season in Black and Yellow, netting eight goals and assisting two more in 28 appearances.
“I’d like to welcome Nicque to FCC 2,” said Tyrone Marshall, FC Cincinnati 2 Head Coach. “He is a skilled forward with professional experience in the past three seasons with Charleston. I’m excited to have him join our group.”
Overall, Daley has scored 17 goals and added six assists for Charleston, including goals in the USL Championship, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and USL Championship playoffs.
Daley represented Jamaica during the nation’s Olympic Qualifying in 2019 and played a major role in the Jamaica U-20 team that competed in the CONCACAF Championships in 2018. He additionally competed with the Jamaican U-23s in 2019.
Before arriving in Charleston, Daley played Jamaican Schoolboy Football at Clarendon College and Cavalier SC of the Jamaican National Premier League. In 2018, with Clarendon, Daley scored 21 goals in a season that finished with an undefeated record and two trophies—the Olivier Shield and the DaCosta Cup.
