FC Cincinnati 2 will host Columbus Crew 2 at TQL Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. ET. Gates for the match will open at 5 p.m. ET. This will be the first match that FCC 2 has hosted at TQL Stadium.
Admission to the match will be free of charge but still require a ticket for entry. Tickets can be claimed through SeatGeek and all seating will be general admission with no assigned seats. Available seating will be open in the First Financial Club, Lower Bowl, and the Bailey. Free parking will also be provided in the East garage.
In addition to free admission and parking, there will be discount food and beverage at TQL Stadium including half off all alcoholic beverages, $1 hot dogs, $3 fountain sodas, and $4 pizza.
“It’s going to be a great experience for the boys,” said Tyrone Marshall, head coach of FCC 2. “Some of the younger academy guys, they have gone and experienced the games as spectators and now have the opportunity to be on the field. For the other guys it’s an opportunity to get on the field and start to feel that excitement of being a pro.”
The derby match will be the second meeting between the two MLS Next Pro sides with Columbus Crew 2 opening the ‘Hell is 2 Real’ series with a 4-0 win on July 16 at Historic Crew Stadium. Both teams wrap up their inaugural MLS Next Pro seasons in their third meeting of the year on Sunday, Sept. 18 in Columbus.
