A busy October is in the books for the academy boys as the MLS NEXT season rolls on. All age groups were in action through the opening weeks of November with some strong results. Here is a look at how things have played out so far.
U13
The U13s picked up two wins in their first two matches of November, extending their unbeaten run to six games. The results move the Young Garys up to third in the Mid-America Division trailing only St. Louis Scott Gallagher and SC Wave.
Nov. 5: W 3-2, St. Lou Fusz Athletic
Nov. 13: W 3-1, Javanon FC
U14
The U14s continued their strong play picking up a win against Javanon FC on Nov. 13. The U14s are on an unbeaten run of their own going four matches without a loss. The Young Garys have been strong in defense keeping clean sheets in their last four matches.
Nov. 5: D 0-0, Lou Fusz Athletic
Nov. 13: W 1-0, Javanon FC
U15
The U15s played one match against the Chicago Fire on Nov. 5, their only game through the opening two weeks of November. The U15s next match is scheduled for Nov. 20 against the Michigan Wolves.
Nov 5: L 0-2, Chicago Fire
U17
The U17s also squared off against the Chicago Fire in the Windy City on Nov. 5 suffering a 2-3 defeat. Next up for the U17s is the Michigan Wolves.
Nov 5: L 2-3, Chicago Fire
U19
The U19s earned a convincing three points against Bavarian United SC by finding the back of the net six times. Issac Calderon scored two goals in the contest while David Garcia, Owen Noverr, Manuel Paez and Alen Kapic added goals of their own.
Nov. 6: W 6-0, Bavarian United SC
