FC Cincinnati Academy welcomed over 70 coaches from local and regional clubs to the second annual Affiliate Coaches and Club Partner Workshop on January 27 at TQL Stadium. Coaches in attendance learned more about the player development pathway, coaching methodology and principles from Academy and FCC 2 staff.
“Coaches with our Affiliates and Club Partners play a very important role within the FCC Player Development Pathway, collaborating with them at the workshop on how we can help grow the game locally and regionally, as well as provide opportunities for players and coaches to progress is important in keeping everything connected,“ said Adrian Parrish, U13 Head Coach/Affiliate Coordinator.
Coaching representatives from CUP, Cincy SC, Lakota FC, Independence SC, Ohio Elite, Cincinnati West, Madison United, Javanon, GINGA, Maderia SC, FC Dayton and Get Sharp SC were in attendance for the event.
Presentations from Andy Seidel (U14 Head Coach), Eric Lichaj (U15 Head Coach), Larry Sunderland (Director of Player Development), and Adrian Parrish (U13 Head Coach) gave attendees the chance to interact with each other as well as learn more about how the weekly process of coaching within the Academy works. Kostas Kyriazis (FCC 2 Physical Performance Coach) and Ben Freakley (RSR Coaching) joined Academy staff to share their knowledge and expertise on Sports Performance and Sports Psychology.
The Affiliate and Club Partner Program will continue to offer more educational opportunities in 2024 connecting the community with the club.
