The West End Pride, FC Cincinnati Foundation’s fully-funded rec soccer club for children who live, attend school, worship or whose parents work in the West End, completed its Fall 2022 season with an End of Year Celebration event at TQL Stadium. Participants enjoyed a dinner, received a medal of recognition and celebrated their growth over the 2022 season. The program supported 185 students spanning 11 teams, growing from 35 players in its first season in Fall 2018.
This was a special season, being the first time a West End Pride team has reached the SAY East Post-Season Tournament since the program launched. Congratulations to the West End Pride Boys Kickers (U14), led by coaches Duilio Atarama and Will Fitton, who placed third in their division through the regular season and competed in the SAY East Post-Season Tournament!
Post-season success is a significant milestone for the program as a whole and the players who have worked hard to improve over the seasons and advance.
The West End Pride will re-start in Spring 2022 and will again be offered to the West End neighborhood free-of-charge. To learn more or get involved with the program, click here to learn more about volunteering as a coach and here to donate to FC Cincinnati Foundation today.
