FC Cincinnati goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer has been named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week presented by Audi for Week 14. Vermeer recorded a season-high 8 saves as the Orange and Blue tied Atlanta United FC, 1-1.
Vermeer’s big performance was punctuated by a crucial save off of a Josef Martinez free kick late in the match. He also thwarted an Atlanta United chance in the early stages of stoppage time to help preserve the draw.
FC Cincinnati travels back to the Music City to take on Nashville SC on Saturday, July 24 at Nissan Stadium, site of the club’s season opening 2-2 draw in April.Â
The game will be televised on Star64 at 8:30 p.m. ET, carried on the radio on ESPN 1530, streamed in-market on FCCincinnati.com (ESPN+ out-of-market), while an audio stream will be available via the iHeartRadio app.
