LEAGUES CUP LINEUP NOTES | FC Cincinnati vs New York City FC

FC Cincinnati face New York City FC tonight at 8 p.m. ET from TQL Stadium in the Leagues Cup Group Stage finale. The match will air on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. The match will air over the radio on iHeart Media ESPN 1530 in English and – for the first time – in Spanish on La Mega 97.7 FM.

- Homegrown Goalkeeper Paul Walters will make his debut for FC Cincinnati tonight, becoming the seventh FC Cincinnati Academy product to appear for the first team (Ordoñez, Robledo, Jimenez, Pinto, Valenzuela, Thomas).

- Three of the Starting XI for FC Cincinnati are FCC Academy products, with Gerardo Valenzuela and Malik Pinto starting alongside Paul Walters.

- Ian Murphy is the only player to have started all five Leagues Cup matches for FC Cincinnati. He was one of six players to start all three matches last season in the inaugural edition of the expanded competition, and he started Thursday night against Querétaro.

- Alvas Powell will make his 98th appearance for FC Cincinnati tonight, as he approaches becoming the sixth player in club history to make 100 appearances across all competitions for the Orange and Blue.

- FC Cincinnati 2 Goalkeeper Coach Ryan Coulter will be on the bench tonight for FC Cincinnati in place of Paul Rogers, who is recovering from surgery.

- Obinna Nwobodo will captain FC Cincinnati for the third time in his career (7/17/22 at CLB; 7/23/22 vs NSH).

- Miles Robinson is available for selection after returning from France while with the United States Olympic Soccer Team which advanced to the quarterfinals of the men’s soccer tournament.

- One FC Cincinnati 2 player makes the matchday roster tonight, Moises Tablante.

- 22 players will suit up tonight as part of the expanded rosters for Leagues Cup in comparison to MLS Regular Season play.

- Under Pat Noonan, FC Cincinnati are 12-5-5 in non-MLS Regular Season matches. Of those five draws, which went to penalty kick shootouts, the club is 3-2.
