The FC Cincinnati Academy now presents an FCC Player of the Month for both the Under-15 and Under-17 teams. Players recognized monthly will have provided highlighted influential performances that help produce on-field results.
Under-17 Player of the Month: Arquimides Ordonez
The 16-year-old forward had three goals in February, including a brace against the Michigan Wolves this past weekend.
“He’s been one of our top performers,” U-17 head coach Ricardo Páez said. “Not only when we scored two goals, but in the GA Cup when we played in Georgia. He’s heading in a good way and hopefully he continues performing this way.”
Under-15 Player of the Month: Ryder Mills
Mills scored twice against the Wolves this past weekend and has been one of the most consistent attacking players on the team.
“He’s pretty selfless,” U-15 head coach Joshua Neff said. “I know that sounds crazy for a guy who’s playing striker and scoring goals, but (striker) isn’t his preferred position … He puts the team before himself. He does the job, works hard and makes the game easier for us.”
