NEW YORK, N.Y. – Major League Soccer announced today that Matt Miazga’s previously announced three-game suspension will be reduced by one game following a successful petition based on his continued commitment and compliance with a recommended treatment program overseen by MLS’ Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health (SABH) Program.
Miazga served the first of his original three-game suspension against the Columbus Crew on December 2, 2023, and will serve his second game suspension on Sunday, February 25, 2024, against Toronto FC. He will be eligible to return to play for FC Cincinnati’s match against Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
