FC Cincinnati defender Zico Bailey underwent a successful surgical procedure on Thursday to repair an entrapped nerve in his hip, the club announced today.
The procedure was performed on Thursday morning by a world-renowned surgeon in this field of sports medicine, Dr. William B. Hutchinson, at the Pacific Coast Hernia Center in Santa Monica, California. The Henderson, Nevada native will be sidelined for an extended period of time.
Bailey has made one substitute appearance with the Orange and Blue this season.
FC Cincinnati will return to action on June 19 when the club hosts the Colorado Rapids at TQL Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on WSTR 64, carried on the radio on ESPN1530, streamed regionally on fccincinnati.com/stream, out of market on ESPN+, while an audio stream will be available via the iHeartRadio app.
