Discovery Program
U13 Academy Signing Night 011

The Discovery Program marks the beginning of FC Cincinnati Academy’s elite player development pathway, which identifies local youth talent and provides MLS-level education and training to local coaches and players.

During the Spring 2026 season, the free-to-play developmental programming will be offered to high-performing players in the 2014 & 2015 age groups. Players will be invited to participate in the six-week program while staying registered with their respective club team and continuing to represent their club in practices and games.

“Connecting this program to our other programs, such as the Affiliate Program, Club Partner Program, and our FC Cincinnati Foundation, establishes a real environment of collaboration as we attempt to identify and develop future players for FC Cincinnati,” said Adrian Parrish, U13 Academy Head Coach.

The Discovery Program pathway has integrated over 60 players into the FC Academy 2025/26 rosters. It helps FC Cincinnati Academy build relationships with local clubs, improve player development in the region, and educate players about the skills and qualities necessary to secure a spot in an MLS academy. Additionally, the program serves as a coaching education resource, allowing local youth coaches to engage with and become an integral part of the system.

Newly announced Regional Discovery Pilot Programs will serve as the entry point into the academy’s elite player development pathway, of which players have been identified through FC Cincinnati’s Soccer in the Community Camps, Clinics, and Community Relations, and will provide high-level training and competition for local players.
