2017 – FCC win at Pittsburgh for first win of the season
A Djiby Fall header in the 55th minute earned FC Cincinnati their first win of the 2017 season when they topped the 10-men Pittsburgh Riverhounds, 1-0, at Highmark Stadium.
Cincinnati had a numerical advantage for much of the match after Pittsburgh’s Gale Agbossoumonde received a second yellow in the 42nd minute. The visitors capitalized with their full squad in the 55th minute when an Andrew Wiedeman cross found Djiby in the box for the game-winning goal and the Senegalese forward’s second goal in as many games.
Here was the lineup former head coach Alan Koch used for his first win leading FCC: Mitch Hildebrandt, Matt Bahner, Austin Berry, Harrison Delbridge, Tyler Polak, Aodhan Quinn, Kenney Walker, Kadeem Dacres, Andrew Wiedeman, Jimmy McLaughlin and Djiby Fall. The three substitutes were Paul Nicholson, Corben Bone and Victor Mansaray.
Side note: Cincinnati remains unbeaten against Pittsburgh – one of the club’s biggest rivals from the USL days.
