FC Cincinnati midfielder Luciano Acosta has been named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week presented by Audi for Week 10.
The Buenos Aires, Argentina native registered a goal in the 68th minute which helped FC Cincinnati to its second straight win, and first-ever victory over Toronto FC. It was Acosta’s second goal of the season and 26th of his MLS career.
From 24 yards out, he made a nice move past Michael Bradley and hit a curler with his right foot into the side netting past Alex Bono to double FCC’s lead. It was Acosta’s first career goal against Toronto FC, and the 15th different MLS club he has scored against.
FC Cincinnati return to the pitch on Saturday, July 3, when the team visits the Houston Dynamo. The Orange and Blue are one of just three MLS teams with three road wins on the season.
