As FC Cincinnati’s present sits on hold waiting for the 2020 MLS regular season to resume, the club’s future continues grow in the West End.
Construction is ongoing at the team’s future home, which remains set to open next spring.
What once was a massive field of dirt and pebbles in December 2018 has been transformed into the skeleton of a modern-day soccer cathedral that will add another element to the Queen City’s skyline.

The concourse’s cement has been poured around the venue, while steel towers above the west side of the stadium. That’s where suites will be added, in addition to the media facilities.
On the east side toward Washington Park, the parking garage that will sit below the sprawling east-side steps continues to progress.
While the seats in The Bailey haven’t been added yet, the north end of the stadium is taking shape and you can see the steep section that will soon house the rowdiest supporters’ section in the Cincinnati once the stadium is done.
From a bird’s-eye view, it’s clear that the West End Stadium is comfortably nestled into its new community and will continue coming to life in the coming months before the 2021 home opener.
FCC managing owner Carl H. Lindner III believes the club’s future home will be, “The jewel in the Queen City’s crown.” Based on the newest construction photos, we’re getting closer and closer to seeing Lindner’s dream come to fruition.
