It didn’t take long Saturday afternoon for Greg Garza to remind everyone what he brings to the field.
After missing more than a month – five matches – with a calf injury, Garza returned to the FC Cincinnati lineup and played an integral role in the club’s 2-1 win against the Montreal Impact at Nippert Stadium.
The left back led all FCC players in total touches (108) and total passes (91) in the team’s first win since March 24. He was also part of Cincinnati’s 16-pass sequence to the club’s first goal against Montreal.
And Garza’s impact is noticeable. Despite missing time with injuries at various parts of the season, Garza has played in every match where the Orange and Blue have produced a point. In his six appearances, the team has three wins, two draws and a loss, demonstrating how valuable Garza can be for the club when he’s healthy.
