A brace from Alvas Powell in Jamaica’s 4-0 win over Guyana on Monday night was the highlight for FC Cincinnati players away on international duty.
Four players – Powell, Kendall Waston, Allan Cruz and Derrick Etienne Jr. – called up for international duty and missed FCC’s 5-1 loss to Toronto FC this past weekend. Both Waston and Cruz were back in training Tuesday morning.
Here’s a look at how they played for their respective nations:
Alvas Powell
Position: Defender
Nation: Jamaica
Results: 6-0 win over Antigua and Barbuda, 4-0 win over Guyana
In the two 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League matches, Powell started for the Reggae Boyz and saw his side record two wins while keeping opponents scoreless.
Powell played 90 minutes in the win over Antigua and Barbuda last Friday before scoring two goals past Guyana on Monday night. His goals came in the 14th and 26th minutes.
Kendall Waston
Position: Defender
Nation: Costa Rica
Result: 2-1 loss against Uruguay
FC Cincinnati’s captain started at center back in the Costa Rican loss to Uruguay. He and Allan Cruz both played the full match for their country. Unlike the matches for Jamaica and Haiti, this game was just a friendly and wasn’t part of any international competition.
Allan Cruz
Position: Midfielder
Nation: Costa Rica
Result: 2-1 loss against Uruguay
The midfielder started as an attacking center midfielder and helped the Ticos dictate the flow of the match with 58% possession.
Derrick Etienne Jr.
Position: Winger
Nation: Haiti
Result: 1-0 loss at Curaçao, 1-1 against Curaçao
Etienne Jr. started for Haiti in the country’s loss to Curaçao in the first of two-straight Concacaf Nations League matches on Saturday evening. In the second, which was played in Haiti, the winger helped the country to a 1-1 result on Tuesday night when he appeared as a substitute.

Nazmi Albadawi

Palestine will continue playing qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup between October and next June.
Albadawi is currently on loan with North Carolina FC in the USL Championship.
