Lineup Notes

In the second match of the 2019 #HellisReal Derby series, FC Cincinnati Head Coach Ron Jans made one change to the starting lineup from the last meeting between FC Cincinnati and Columbus Crew SC.

Here’s the Orange and Blue starting XI for the first rivalry match at Nippert Stadium between the clubs in MLS play:

Lineup Notes: Columbus -

About the starters

Derrick Etienne Jr. starts at right wing in replacement of Emmanuel Ledesma. This is the first time Jans has altered his starters and will be Etienne Jr.’s first start for FCC.

About the bench

Leo Bertone is available on the bench for the first time since Aug. 3 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. This could be the first time he plays under the new head coach.

Additionally, Kekuta Manneh, who played for Columbus but missed the first meeting between the sides, is in the 18 and could play against his old team.

About the absences

Fatai Alashe (hamstring) and Greg Garza (calf) are healthy but are still working their way back into contention to play. Spencer Richey (back) trained at points this week but remains out. Frankie Amaya (groin) and Fanendo Adi (calf) are also not available for Sunday night at Nippert Stadium.
