FC Cincinnati head coach Jaap Stam made one lineup change ahead of Saturday night’s clash against New York City FC at Red Bull Arena.
Maikel van der Werff replaces Nick Hagglund in the starting XI and makes his first start since Sept. 6 at Columbus Crew SC.
About the absentees
Saad-Abdul Salaam, Siem de Jong and Jimmy McLaughlin will miss the match with injuries. Przemysław Tytoń and Hagglund remain in MLS protocol.
Hagglund confirmed he tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of kickoff and is in quarantine. He is the first FCC player to test positive since testing began in March.
New signing Álvaro Barreal will be added to the roster upon the receipt of their P1 Visas and completion of any mandatory quarantine period under local government and MLS health and safety protocol.
