Tom Pettersson will replace an injured Maikel van der Werff on the backline for Cincinnati’s final MLS is Back Tournament group stage match.
About the lineup change
Pettersson returns to the starting lineup after being a second-half substitute against Atlanta last Thursday morning. The Swedish defender made his FC Cincinnati debut when he started in the team’s MLS is Back Tournament opener against Columbus Crew SC.
Injury update
Allan Cruz, Siem de Jong and Greg Garza are available after missing the last game with injuries.
Jürgen Locadia (quad), Jimmy McLaughlin (ankle), Spencer Richey (concussion) and van der Werff (groin) are all unavailable against the Red Bulls.
Other notes
FC Cincinnati will advance to the knockout stage with either a win or draw against New York.
