Ahead of Wednesday night’s clash against the Philadelphia Union, FC Cincinnati head coach Jaap Stam makes one change from the XI that beat the New York Red Bulls this past Saturday.
Allan Cruz replaces Yuya Kubo in the lineup and will make his first start since Aug. 25 at Chicago Fire FC.
About the changes
The only additional lineup change is Mathieu Deplagne returns to the matchday squad following a one-match ban for yellow card accumulation. His last appearance was Sept. 12 at New York City FC.
There’s only been one match in FCC’s MLS history that Deplagne hasn’t played in when he makes the matchday squad: July 11 against Columbus Crew SC in the MLS is Back Tournament.
About the absentees
Saad Abdul-Salaam, Siem de Jong and Jimmy McLaughlin will miss the match with injuries.
Przemysław Tytoń will be available once he clears MLS health and safety protocols after traveling to Poland for personal reasons. He remains in quarantine.
New signings Álvaro Barreal and Kamohelo Mokotjo will be added to the roster upon the receipt of their P1 Visas and completion of any mandatory quarantine period under local government and MLS health and safety protocol.
