This week’s loan roundup was highlighted by transfer moves.
Emery Welshman, who was on loan at Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League, agreed with FCC to mutually terminate his contract. On Monday, the Guyana international announced he’s signed with Hapoel Haifa FC of the Israeli Premier League.
Also on Monday, Cincinnati sent Logan Gdula back to Hartford Athletic on loan in the USL Championship. He’s available to play Wednesday night against Forrest Lasso and Nashville SC.
Here’s a look at the rest of FCC’s players on loan in the USL Championship:
Nazmi Albadawi
Position: Midfielder
Club: North Carolina FC
Result: 2-1 loss to Indy Eleven
Albadawi played 83 minutes in North Carolina’s home loss to Indy Eleven, who jumped to third in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Palestine international completed 28 passes with 75% accuracy and created an attacking chance in the 73rd minute when a long-range shot was just off target. Defensively, he won three tackles.
Hassan Ndam
Position: Defender
Club: Charlotte Independence
Result: 1-0 loss to Louisville City FC
Ndam was in Cincinnati this past weekend and attended FC Cincinnati’s 2-1 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Ndam is still a Charlotte Independence player and hasn’t been recalled from his existing loan.
Forrest Lasso
Position: Defender
Club: Nashville SC
Result: 2-0 win at Swope Park Rangers
This was a nice result for Lasso and his new team, who beat a reigning USL Cup finalist on the road this past weekend.
Lasso finished the match with 60 passes with 80% accuracy. He also won 100% of his duels, made two interceptions and produced four clearances.
Ben Lundt
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Louisville City
Result: 1-0 win at Charlotte Independence
The German goalkeeper wasn’t included in Louisville City FC’s plans in the win. He’s fully fit following surgery, and his last appearance was June 8 in a 2-1 win over Loudoun County.
