In the 19th minute, Albadawi found Andre Fortune open in the box and saw Fortune turn the pass into a clever back post shot to take the lead. With the win, Carolina snapped Tampa Bay’s unbeaten start to the 2019 season.
As for the Palestinian international, he completed 32 passes with an 82.4% accuracy in Tampa Bay’s half.
Canadian Premier League update:
Emery Welshman
Position: Forward
Club: Forge FC
Result: Did Not Play
Forge FC had the weekend off and return to play later this month. That doesn’t mean Welshman was off, though.
The forward is with the Guyana National Team ahead of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. The tournament is the first-ever major competition for the Golden Jaguars.
Guyana plays the U.S. Men’s National Team to open their Gold Cup campaign on June 18 in Minnesota. The U.S. lost 3-0 to Venezuela on Sunday afternoon at Nippert Stadium in their first visit to the Queen City.
