Nazmi Albadawi getting called into the Palestine National Team for 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers was the highlight for FC Cincinnati players on loan in the USL Championship this past week.
Here’s more about Albadawi and the other Orange and Blue players on loan:
Nazmi Albadawi

Albadawi wore the captain’s armband for North Carolina FC in the club’s biggest loss of the season. During the match, he played the full game and completed 58 passes with an 84.5% accuracy. He also created two attacking chances.
The bigger news, however, is what could come next for him on the international level.
Albadawi and the Palestinians host Uzbekistan on Thursday for a second round match in World Cup qualifying. On Tuesday, Sept. 10, the team travels to play Singapore.
Earlier this year, Albadawi represented Palestine in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates and helped the national team earn their first points in the tournament in the nation’s history. Here’s what he said of that experience.
