For the first time this season, every FC Cincinnati player out on loan featured last week in the USL Championship! Here’s a glance at how all four players fared:
Ben Lundt
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Louisville City FC
Result: 2-0 win over Loudoun United FC
Lundt earned another shutout on Sunday night when he kept Loudoun scoreless in Lou City’s 2-0 win.
The goalkeeper produced four saves, made two catches in the victory and will play again on Wednesday night when Louisville hosts SKC II.
Rey Ortiz
Position: Winger
Club: Charlotte Independence
Result: 1-1 draw, 3-2 win
Ortiz played in both Charlotte matches this past week.
He was a 27th-minute substitute last Wednesday in a 1-1 draw against Birmingham Legion FC, when he completed 23 passes with a 73.1% passing accuracy.
The 2020 MLS SuperDraft pick started for the Independence in Saturday night’s 3-2 win over Memphis 901 FC. He played 81 minutes and had two shots on target. He also completed 25 passes with a 76% accuracy.
Ortiz will face another FCC player next match – Hassan Ndam – when the Independence play at The Miami FC on Aug. 23.
Hassan Ndam
Position: Defender
Club: The Miami FC
Result: 1-1 at the Tampa Bay Rowdies
Ndam entered the game in the 41st minute and helped Miami secure a point on the road against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
The Cameroonian center back had an impressive 96.3% passing accuracy from 27 passes – and completed 88.9% off his passes in Tampa Bay territory. He also made four clearances and produced an interception.
Rashawn Dally
Position: Forward
Club: Las Vegas Lights FC
Result: 1-0 loss at Orange County SC
Dally and the Lights returned to league play on Saturday after a one-week hiatus due to someone in the Las Vegas organization testing positive for COVID-19. Dally started and played 68 minutes, finishing with two shots and a created chance.
His next match is Wednesday against the Tacoma Defiance, followed by a road trip to Phoenix to face Rising FC on Aug. 23.
