Rashawn Dally’s goal in his debut with Las Vegas Lights was the highlight for FC Cincinnati players on loan in the USL Championship this past weekend.
Here’s a look at how Dally and FCC’s three other players in the league performed this past week.
Rashawn Dally
Position: Forward
Club: Las Vegas Lights FC
Result: 2-1 loss at San Diego Loyal SC
Dally opened his scoring account in first-half stoppage time when he finished José Carrera-Garcia’s penalty, which was initially blocked.
Dally took three shots, with two on target during his debut. He also finished the match with three chances created and a 72.7% passing accuracy.
The forward’s performance was a strong start to Dally’s stint in Las Vegas and first match under the team’s new head coach: Frank Yallop.
Ben Lundt
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Louisville City FC
Result: 1-0 win against Sporting Kansas City II
Lundt returned to the Lou City starting lineup and earned a clean sheet for the team’s first win at Lynn Family Stadium. The German goalkeeper made two saves and will be looking to replicate that performance when the clubs rematch on July 29.
Rey Ortiz
Position: Winger
Club: Charlotte Independence
Result: 2-2 draw at Memphis 901 FC
Ortiz played the final 30 minutes of Charlotte’s first match since the league resumed. The 2020 MLS SuperDraft pick created two chances and helped the Independence turn a 2-1 deficit into a draw.
Defensively, he also won a tackle and made an interception.
Hassan Ndam
Position: Defender
Club: Miami FC
Result: Did Not Play
Ndam and Miami FC were supposed to host Ortiz and the Independence last weekend, but the match was rescheduled for Aug. 23.
Miami’s first scheduled match is July 29 at Atlanta United FC 2, when the Cameroonian will be looking for his 2020 competitive debut.
